How to use Facebook for business

Social media advertising has become the new normal now, and platforms like Facebook have made it much easier to promote your product and run online campaigns for your business. Many entrepreneurs use Facebook for their business due to its numerous benefits.

Many would say that Facebook was relevant when it marketed goods for free and is now outdated. But why is that many businesses are still using Facebook to sell? It is because Facebook produces extremely high marketing ROI despite being a paid platform.

Now let’s take a look at how your business can use Facebook for business.

1) Choose the right category for your business

The first thing you will have to do is create a Facebook page. If you don’t know how to do that, click here.

While you are setting up the page, you will have to choose among six categories. The majority of the businesses fall under the local company or brand category.

Every option has its characteristics, so make sure to choose the one that reflects your business.

2) Maintain an online presence

Even if you are not running an online campaign and your posts aren’t getting enough reach, it shouldn’t stop you from posting frequently. Most practices encourage the business to post one post daily, but the core rule is to post whenever you have content that will interest your audience. You can also analyze the audience’s response to your posts to plan out the schedule.

According to a study, more people are moving towards posting more content on their page.

3) Create sharable content

Going viral on social media can give your business a lot of popularity and traffic. However, to make the content shareable, you will have to prioritize the content people want to share with someone. You might be wondering what pushes people to hit the share button and spread your content?

A study done by the New York Times found out the reasons why an individual shares a post.

Some reasons include:

  • To inform and influence others
  • To help people
  • To learn something new
  • To connect with others
  • To appreciate and spread the content
  • To get known

To increase your number of shares, you will have to provide your audience with a reason. Ensure that your posts touch emotions and people are inclined to share them with others.

4) Use Facebook live to improve reach

If your advertising budget is limited, then you should be focusing on Facebook Live. This feature allows you to go live on the platform at any time free of cost while increasing your organic reach. In addition, Facebook sends a direct notification to your followers to engage them in your videos.

There are many things you can do, like conducting a Q&A session with your audience. You can entertain people with questions about your product/industry which will help them know more about the product. It is also a great way to showcase your skills and knowledge.

You can even conduct a live interview with an expert in your industry. Ask questions and shed light on recent trends. Then, broadcast it through Facebook to engage your audience as well. Later you can publish the interview on your page so people who missed out can watch it.

5) Offer discounts

Giving discounts is a great way to boost your sales. To help you out with providing exclusive offers, Facebook introduced a tool called Facebook offers. It can help you give out exclusive discounts to some customers. Moreover, you can post coupons and special deals on your Facebook too.

Before you give out a discount, make sure that you slash off a hefty price on your product. If the discount is only 5-10%, there won’t be much impact on your sales. The ad should be catchy and useful for the audience.

As you already know that every offer has an expiration date. Make sure your product offer has an expiration date as it will encourage people to buy as soon as possible.

Final thoughts

Over 2.7 billion users use Facebook every month. So there is an abundance of audience you can target and start to market your product. Achieve your goals and build connections that matter.

The most significant advantage of Facebook is not only its high ROI but the option to create communities. Paid campaigns don’t last forever, but the communities do.
